Tony began playing the guitar at the age of 11. By the time he turned 13, he had also developed a proficiency in blues harmonica and mandolin. Throughout his musical journey, Tony had the privilege of performing at numerous venues in Charlotte and its surrounding areas, showcasing his skills in blues, jazz, and southern rock. Subsequently, he successfully completed his studies at UNC Charlotte, earning a degree in music with a Major in Classical Guitar performance. Tony's involvement in the local community extended beyond his academic pursuits, as he served as a worship leader and guitarist at various churches for several years. One of his notable experiences was performing the national anthem before an NBA Charlotte Hornets basketball game. In addition to his musical talents, Tony has a keen interest in collecting Vintage Electric Guitars and has even designed and constructed hand-wired Amplifiers and Speaker Cabinets. Upon joining The UpTown Party band, his focus has shifted towards playing at wedding venues, where he finds immense joy in providing musical entertainment for brides and their guests, contributing to the creation of cherished memories on their special day.
